Welcome to
Tilden Hill Farm: Experience a Family Tradition
A Historical Retreat for Camping and Adventure
Tilden Hill Farm offers a peaceful retreat with spacious tent and RV sites, as well as one bedroom cabins. Our campground is centrally located just off of the NYS Thruway/(I-90) in Central New York.
The farm was founded in 1798 by Artemas Brewer and is the oldest single family-owned farm in central New York. Over the years it has served as a grist mill, chicken farm, cheese factory, apple orchard, and a haunted hayride. The most recent addition of Black Angus beef cows has brought back the traditional farm feel of our founders.
Comfortable Camping Accommodations
We offer three types of sites at our campground: private tent sites, relaxing RV sites, or one of our rustic cabins.
Tent sites are spacious, quiet and scenic and a quick walk to the pond. Three of our tent sites include space for parking while the other three are about a 75 yard walk from parking for a more woodsy feel. One of our walk-in sites is a lean-to overlooking the pond where you can enjoy wonderful sunsets.
RV sites offer plenty of space compared to other RV parks. Ten of the sites have full hook-up (water/sewer/electric) while the other nine have water and electric. A dump station is available for those sites for a fee.
One bedroom rustic cabins are suitable for up to 4 people. Complete with a full bath, TV, and a small kitchenette with a microwave, and mini fridge. All bedding and towels are provided.
Tilden Hill Farm is equipped with 2 bath houses available to all with showers and restrooms. All tent/RV sites and the cabins come with a firepit and picnic table. Laundry facilities and firewood are all available to guests for a fee.
Activities and Farm Market Offerings
Once settled in take a meandering walk, bike ride, or cross country ski through 12 miles of trails that weave in and out of the woods and through the pastures. Partake in fishing, canoeing and kayaking or just sit along the water’s edge in our lean-to or on your cabin deck and enjoy the sunset.
Be sure to stop by our market for local-made honey and maple syrup along with homemade jam, and grass-raised Black Angus beef. Make sure to add a pin on our map so we know where you are traveling from!
There are numerous attractions to visit in the area if you choose to leave the farm. We are happy to tell you about our favorites, just ask!
Whether you are just passing through or need a break from the hustle and bustle of life, we look forward to seeing you at Tilden Hill Farm where you can “Experience a Family Tradition“.
